book

Need a book, as a balm for heartbreak
To fill the void, and get lost for hours
Escape this world and roam in some imaginary ones
With new acquaintances to befriend
To forget the mess and revel in someone’s genius
Of words
To feel the good in the world, through eyes of another
To be touched, by an imaginary hand on the shoulder
And rest
To know am not alone, in this infinite suffering
And it is possible, to get up next day
And fight the fight
To forget the guilt, of losing oneself
And hurting others
To speak to me, like no one else can
From another time and space
Need the best, like a sweet nectar
To fill the soul, for another run
